Beta Irradiator Systems
Beta Irradiator Systems
Our beta irradiators are specially designed for calibration of dosimetry and survey meters. We offer a simple single source system as well as an irradiator that can hold up to 4 sources and automatically configure the source, filter, and distance to match the required calibration configuration. These easy-to-use systems will measurably increase efficiency and accuracy in a variety of user applications. These systems are available with manual operation using electronic controllers, or with full automation that includes computer control, auto set-up, irradiator calibration and more.
BC30 Single Source Irradiator
The model BC30 beta beam irradiator is designed for calibrating survey meters and dosimetry with beta radiation. The simple design is a cost-effective solution, yet provides all the elements necessary for calibration. It holds a single source (Sr-90, Kr-85, or Pm-147) that provides a hemispheric radiation field. Flattening filters are supplied to match the source. A bench in front of the source has a grid pattern and dowel pins to allow precise positioning of instruments and dosimetry. The system comes complete with a radiation source, flattening filter, shielded enclosure, exposure position, instrument bench, and control panel.
Beta4 Multi-Source Irradiator
The model Beta4 beta beam irradiator is designed for calibrating survey meters and dosimetry with beta radiation. It can hold up to four sources (Sr-90, Kr-85, or Pm-147) and provides a hemispheric radiation field. Flattening filters mounted on a filter wheel are rotated to match the source. An optional linear positioning system can precisely align instruments and dosimetry in the radiation beam. The system comes complete with radiation source(s), flattening filter(s), shielded enclosure, exposure position, and control panel (electronic for computer controlled).
